Discover an Abundance of Adirondack Activities at Lake Placid Lodge
There are an abundance of activities to enjoy in and around Lake Placid Lodge, though it's perfectly alright to do nothing at all. Whether you prefer to curl up in front of a fireplace and take on the challenge of a handcrafted Stave puzzle or decide to hike one of the ancient Adirondack trails, each season offers an array of options for your Lake Placid vacation. Some of our favorite winter activities include ice-skating on the frozen lake or at the 1980 Olympic Oval, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing on pristine trails, or downhill skiing on the longest vertical drop in the East Coast at Whiteface Mountain.
Spring and summer Lake Placid getaways offer endless adventures on and off the water. Take a tour of Lake Placid aboard our 35' mahogany Hacker-Craft. Enjoy fishing, kayaking and canoeing, or captain one of our electric boats. Shady forests beckon, clear streams tumble along, and pristine trails meander toward the sky. The Adirondack Park has 46 mountains over 4,000 feet high, 3,000 lakes and ponds and 30,000 miles of river and stream to explore. And napping in the lean-to is a long-standing Adirondack tradition. Those looking to soak in the rich culture of this beautiful area can also visit the numerous museums and local attractions located just a short drive from our lakeside retreat. And following an afternoon of hiking or skiing, treat yourself to a soothing in-room massage.
