Meeting & Event Venues at Lake Placid Lodge

From intimate board meetings to seminars and banquets, Lake Placid Lodge's impeccable venues reflect the hotel's traditional Arts and Crafts design while providing the latest in technological enhancements. Below you can view descriptions of the private gathering rooms available in the Main Lodge. These beautifully-appointed venues are designed to accommodate an array of Lake Placid events, and can be rented on an individual basis or together as a group.

Adirondack Room
The Adirondack Room is both grand and airy, a composition of gorgeous stonework, tree trunk columns, hand-built twig furniture and custom-made carpets that mimic the forest floor. Large French doors extend the meeting space outdoors to the massive stone patio, where Lake Placid and Whiteface Mountain serve as a backdrop, and two large wood-burning fireplaces blaze. State-of-the-art audio/visual equipment, including a high definition screen, surround sound with microphone, and high speed internet access are also featured. The Adirondack Room can seat up to 70 guests for a banquet, or 150 in rows for a presentation.

The Baby Bootlegger Room
Named after the gleaming, streamlined wooden boat that won the 1924 and 1925 Gold Cup, the Baby Bootlegger Room is anchored by a stone fireplace at the back wall and a huge outdoor fireplace just outside on the porch. Tall windows look out over the Lake. The room features a vintage painting of the famous boat, and the graceful wood frame of a rowboat serves as a chandelier. The Baby Bootlegger Room is ideal for small board meetings and private dinners for up to 14 people. A/V equipment is available upon request.

The Wine Cellar
The Wine Cellar is a romantic, gothic room of vaulted brick, with vines on the ceiling and rare vintages beaming out from lighted alcoves. Repurposed furnishings add a unique allure to this exquisite space. The long table was once the immense front door of a Mexican church and the side table is a former cigar-rolling table from Cuba. The Wine Cellar can be reserved year round for intimate dinners and celebrations, and can accommodate up to 12 guests.

Lodge Dock
The Lodge Dock makes a fine spot for an Adirondack barbecue, and is ideal for large gatherings. Guests can take advantage of the Lodge's little electric boats for lake tours, or our staff can transport small groups out on the barge or the Hacker-Craft. The bonfire will be blazing, and the lean-to stocked with pillows and hors d'oeuvres. The Lodge Dock can accommodate up to 50 banquet guests or 100 for cocktail receptions.
