Reservation Policies

Nightly room rates are for single or double occupancy, except for our two-bedroom cabins which can accommodate up to four people. Additional guests are $100 per person, per night in rooms with pull-out sofa beds. The room rate includes a full, prepared-to-order breakfast, nightly turndown service, stocked in-room refrigerators complete with drinks, snacks and treats, as well as a wide variety of on-site activities.

Room rates are subject to a 7.75% New York sales tax, a 3% county rooms tax, and a 10% resort charge. Room rates and taxes are subject to change without notice.

In keeping with our tranquil setting, there are no televisions in our guest rooms, though there is one available in the Pub. All guest rooms and public rooms are non-smoking.

There is a minimum stay of two nights on weekends and three nights or more on holidays and during special events. Please call (877) 523-2700 for details length-of-stay minimums.

Children

Children over the age of twelve are welcome at Lake Placid Lodge. Our chef will be happy to accommodate any special requests they might have. When the Lodge is reserved in its entirety by one party, children of all ages are, of course, welcome.

Dogs

We love and welcome well-trained, quiet dogs. We must request your strict adherence to the following guidelines in order to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for all guests and staff:
Dogs are allowed only in our cabins with the exception of Owls Head; each cabin can accommodate up to two dogs. There is a charge of $75 per night for the first dog, and an additional $200 per night for the second. We do reserve the right to limit the number of dogs on property at any given time. Guests will be responsible for any property damage inadvertently caused by their dogs.

Dogs must be on a leash at all times if outside the cabin, and are not permitted inside the Main Lodge. Dogs left in a cabin unattended must be securely crated for the safety of our housekeeping staff. If your dog has a tendency to bark in your absence, we request that your dog not be left alone.

Check-in time/Check-out time

Check-in time is 4:00 pm. Check-out is 11:30 am.

Deposit

A 50% deposit is required upon reservation. All remaining room costs will be charged in full 21 days prior to your arrival. After your deposit has been received, we will send a confirmation letter, as well as directions and useful information.

Cancellations

Due to our intimate size, cancellations affect us significantly. If a cancellation is made 21 days or longer prior to your arrival date, you may elect to either receive a refund of your deposit, less a $100 administration fee, or apply the entire amount of your deposit toward a future stay within the next year. If your cancellation is made fewer than 21 days prior to your arrival date, we regret that the deposit will be forfeited unless we are able to secure another reservation for the room. Should it be necessary for you to depart earlier than your confirmed dates, you will be responsible for all of the original room nights reserved.
