Rehearsal Dinner
The traditional “rehearsal dinner” is a time for core wedding guests to reunite with the bride, groom and family members before the flurry of activity on the wedding day. We have several splendid sites for just such an occasion. The beauty of Lake Placid Lodge, the backdrop of gorgeous Lake Placid and attention to detail make for a unique, luxurious and breathtaking rehearsal dinner.
Baby Bootlegger
An intimate, boat-themed room that can seat up to 14 guests, with wonderful views of the lake, a stone fireplace and a long table overhung by a rustic chandelier made from the frame of a canoe.
The Wine Cellar
A romantic haven of vaulted brick, complete with vines twining across the ceiling and rare vintages stored in the dimly-lit alcoves. The dining table was once the immense front door of a Mexican church. The Wine Cellar can accommodate up to 12 guests.
The Lodge Dock
A fine spot for an Adirondack barbecue, perfect for large gatherings of up to 50 people for dining and 100 for cocktails. Guests can take out the little electric boats for lake tours, or staff can take small groups out on the barge or the Hacker-Craft. The bonfire will be blazing, and the lean-to stocked with pillows and hors-d’oeuvres.
