Our cabins are private log and timber cottages, and are located a short walk under a covered walkway from the Main Lodge. A map of the grounds, showing the locations of each of the cabins, is now available online. Built in the 1920's at or near the water's edge, these cabins have all been beautifully renovated to include king or queen-size featherbeds, large stone fireplaces, sitting areas, elegant rustic furnishings and wet bars. All have luxurious bathrooms, with huge soaking tubs with roomy separate showers. Huge picture windows reveal breathtaking lake and mountain vistas.

Owl's Head is a very special cabin and merits a heading all its own. Set just a step or two from the edge of the lake, the cabin's private porch is fringed by a small, tumbling brook. The room boasts a huge hand-crafted stone fireplace and a king-size featherbed shaped from a tree. Views of the lake and Whiteface Mountain provide plenty of Mother Nature's art along with original oil paintings that hang on the log walls. In the enormous bathroom, there is a two-person jacuzzi jet tub, a dry sauna, and a six-headed steam shower. This spacious, one-room suite is our most sumptuous and romantic cabin.

These large, private, five-room cabins sleep up to four people. Our two-bedroom cabins offer sumptuous king featherbeds in each bedroom, and each bedroom has its own oversized bath with two-person soaking tubs and separate double-headed showers. Wet bars and small refrigerators are stocked with coffees, teas, juices, spring water, and soda. In the spacious, luxurious living room, a large stone fireplace faces the deep armchairs and the long, pillowed couches. Adirondack furnishings are designed specifically for each room by local craftsmen. And the views from these suite cabins are both quiet and immense ~ windows look onto the lake, the looming mountains, the slim birches and dark pines on the opposite shore.

Most of our rustic and luxurious Studio Cabins are set right at the lapping edge of Lake Placid. From the picture windows of these one-room suites, little but water and mountains can be seen. Each of these cabins has been furnished by a different Adirondack craftsman, so each has a spirit and look all its own, as well as a king-size bed and large stone fireplace. The lavish bathrooms have two-person soaking tubs and separate showers.
