Cancellation Policy

Due to our intimate size, cancellations affect us significantly. If a cancellation is made 30 days or longer prior to your arrival date your $100 deposit will be forfeited. If your cancellation is made fewer than 30 days prior to your arrival date, the entire stay will be forfeited. Should it be necessary for you to depart earlier than your confirmed dates, you will be responsible for all of the original room nights reserved. Nightly room rates are for single or double occupancy, except for our two-bedroom cabins which can accommodate up to four people. Additional guests are $100 per person, per night in rooms with pull-out sofa beds. The room rate includes a nightly turndown service, stocked in-room refrigerators complete with drinks, snacks and treats, as well as a wide variety of on-site activities.

We reserve the right to cancel or modify reservations where it appears that a customer has engaged in fraudulent or inappropriate activity or under other circumstances where it appears that the rates or details of the reservation contains or resulted from a mistake or error. Advance reservations for Dining, Spa and Golf must be made directly with each outlet after confirming your Room Package Reservation. All packages exclude taxes, resort fee and gratuities.

A $100 deposit is required upon reservation. All remaining room costs will be charged in full 30 days prior to your arrival. After your deposit has been received, we will send a confirmation letter, as well as directions and useful information.

For your security, a photo ID is required upon check-in to verify your reservation.

Rate Requirements

Room rates are subject to an 8% New York sales tax, a 3% county rooms tax, and a 12% resort fee. Room rates and taxes are subject to change without notice. Please note that a 3 night stay minimums may apply to peak weekends.

Children

As of January 1, 2017, Lake Placid Lodge will be accepting children of all ages. Children under 12 will not be permitted to stay in the Main Lodge rooms and suites, but will now be welcome in the Lakeside Buildings and Private Cabins.

Dogs

Lake Placid Lodge welcomes well-mannered dogs 30 lbs. or less. Guests bringing dogs will be charged $75 per night, per dog; maximum of two dogs per room. Room type and location restrictions may apply. Guests will be responsible for any property damage inadvertently caused by their dogs.

Certified service dogs that provide assistance to individuals with disabilities are welcome at the hotel and are not subject to the policies and restrictions described above.

Dogs must be on a leash at all times if outside the cabin, and are not permitted inside the Main Lodge. Dogs left in a cabin unattended must be securely crated for the safety of our housekeeping staff. If your dog has a tendency to bark in your absence, we request that your dog not be left alone. We must request your strict adherence to the following guidelines in order to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for all guests and staff: Dogs are allowed only in our cabins; each cabin can accommodate up to two dogs.

Resort Fee

12% of total accommodations is assessed as a resort fee and includes nightly turndown service, stocked in-room refrigerators complete with drinks, snacks and treats, shuttle service to local venues, nightly bonfire and s'mores supplies, champagne at check-in, concierge services, wireless internet, local/long distance calls, daily wine for two, New York Times & Wall Street Journal, parking, maintenance and set up of in-room fireplace, daily welcome amenity delivered to room, arrival tour at check-in, coffee in room, custom Adirondack furniture, gallery, photographer available to capture special moments, and seasonal activities including Birds of Prey (Saturdays), cross country ski, bicycles, snow shoes, toboggans, sleds, outdoor tents, lean-to, kayaks, canoes, electric boats, standup paddle boards, hacker craft tours.
